The 2025 Audi RS 6 Avant GT Roars into the Spotlight

Get ready, New York – one of the most exclusive performance wagons ever built is making its mark, and it’s doing so with a heritage-fueled roar. Say hello to the 2025 Audi RS 6 Avant GT – a 621-horsepower, heritage-liveried tribute to an IMSA racing legend. With just 85 units allocated to the U.S. (660 globally), this is more than a car – it’s a future collectible.

A Nod to Royalty Racing

Inspired by the ferocious Audi 90 quattro IMSA GTO, the RS 6 Avant GT pays tribute to a machine that redefined pavement performance in 1989. From the moment it hits the track (or the pavement), this ultra-rare wagon makes it clear: Audi’s motorsport DNA is alive and thriving.

The exterior speaks volumes. Finished exclusively in Arkona White and wrapped in a bold red/gray/black heritage livery, the GT blends nostalgia with cutting-edge aggression. Unique 22” “Avus” wheels in Ibis White, carbon-fiber front fenders and hood, and a motorsport-inspired double wing spoiler complete the look. And for the first time ever in an RS 6 Avant, roof rails were removed—flattening the silhouette and reducing weight for a sharper edge.

Performance Dialed to Eleven

The numbers say it all:

  • 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds

  • Top track speed: 190 mph

  • 4.0L TFSI® biturbo V8

  • 621 horsepower / 627 lb-ft of torque

Every RS 6 Avant GT comes equipped with standard carbon-ceramic brakes, an adjustable coilover suspension, and a quattro sport rear differential tuned specifically for this model – all of which come together for the most dynamic, agile RS 6 Avant ever created.

Even the tires mean business: high-performance Continental SportContact 7s deliver incredible grip in all conditions, ensuring every ounce of power is put to precise use.

Inside: A Racing-Inspired Lounge

Inside, the GT treatment continues with meticulous detail:

  • RS sport seats wrapped in Valcona leather with red and copper double stitching

  • Crimson Red seatbelts

  • Alcantara-trimmed interior with contrast stitching throughout

  • A numbered badge on the center console indicating each model’s unique spot in the 660-unit global production run

This is a cockpit built for drivers – with a motorsport soul and a premium finish.

Born from Passion

The RS 6 Avant GT has roots in a unique apprentice concept. In 2020, twelve Audi apprentices reimagined the RS 6 as the RS 6 GTO concept, inspired by the IMSA GTO racer. Their vision and innovation sparked the creation of this special edition, turning a bold idea into an exhilarating reality.

Hand-Assembled Exclusivity

Unlike the standard RS 6 Avant, the GT is assembled by hand at Böllinger Höfe, the same Audi facility responsible for the R8 and RS e-tron GT. Each car spends an entire day under the care of a dedicated team, with GT-specific components like the hood, suspension, and aero elements meticulously installed by hand.

Pricing & Availability

With a U.S. base MSRP of $198,900, the 2025 RS 6 Avant GT is set to arrive at the end of 2024. With only 85 units hitting American roads, expect this wagon to become an instant classic – and a must-see at this year’s New York International Auto Show.
