At the 2026 New York International Auto Show, it’s not just about seeing what’s new — it’s about getting inside and going for a spin. From instant electric acceleration to off-road climbs and dynamic ride courses, visitors can experience today’s vehicles the way they’re meant to be experienced: in motion.
With four distinct ride-and-drive attractions included with admission, the Auto Show offers one of the most engaging, hands-on ride-along experiences anywhere.
Feel the Power: Hybrid & EV Test Track
Located on Level 1 of the Javits Convention Center, the Hybrid & EV Test Track gives visitors a chance to experience electrified vehicles in action. Guided by professional drivers, guests are taken through a purpose-built indoor course designed to showcase instant torque, smooth acceleration, and responsive handling
The moment the vehicle pulls away, the difference is clear — quiet, seamless, and surprisingly quick. Featuring a range of vehicles from brands including Cadillac, Chevrolet, Ford, Kia, Lucid, and Toyota, the track brings together everything from luxury EVs to practical daily drivers.
Climb, Tilt, and Ride: Camp Jeep®
Set outdoors at the Javits Convention Center against the backdrop of Midtown Manhattan, Camp Jeep® delivers one of the most intense and memorable experiences at the show.
At the center of Camp Jeep is the iconic 28-foot Jeep Mountain — a steep, 42-degree climb that feels nearly vertical from the passenger seat before a controlled descent showcases traction and stability. The course also features off-camber bridges, articulation wedges, and uneven terrain that highlight suspension travel and grip in real time.
Off-road rides are available in vehicles such as the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, Wrangler 392, Gladiator Rubicon, and Grand Cherokee Trailhawk.
Toyota Dynamic Ride Experience
Located alongside Camp Jeep at the Javits Convention Center, the Toyota Ride Experience delivers a dynamic, real-world demonstration of performance and everyday drivability.
Professional drivers take visitors on a spirited drive along a closed course where you can feel quick acceleration, confident braking, and precise steering through a series of pylons. The course also includes bumps and surface changes designed to showcase ride comfort and handling.
Vehicles may include the Toyota Camry Hybrid XSE, Grand Highlander Hybrid MAX, 4Runner Hybrid, GR86 Premium, RAV4 Hybrid, and RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid.
Electrifying Performance: Hyundai Ride Experience
Located just behind the Hyundai exhibit, this dedicated indoor experience focuses on the performance side of electrification.
With professional drivers behind the wheel, visitors experience the immediate response that defines EV driving — smooth, quick acceleration that pushes you back into your seat, along with composed handling and advanced vehicle technology.
Vehicles may include the Hyundai IONIQ 5, IONIQ 5 N, IONIQ 6, and IONIQ 9.
