The New York International Auto Show returns April 3-12, 2026, bringing back one of its most popular attractions: the Hybrid & EV Test Track — an indoor ride experience that lets visitors feel what today’s electrified vehicles are really like on the road.

Located inside the Javits Convention Center, the Hybrid & EV Test Track invites guests to hop in and get the sensation of riding in a variety of hybrid and electric vehicles. Each ride is led by a professional driver who shows how these vehicles accelerate, handle, and respond in everyday driving conditions, all in a safe, controlled setting.

“Every year, the Hybrid & EV Test Track experience is one of the highlights of show attendees,” said Mark Schienberg, President of the New York International Auto Show. “A test drive in these vehicles helps people understand how fun today’s hybrids and EVs really are. You can’t help but get excited about this segment of the auto industry when you are experiencing these vehicles firsthand.”

What You’ll Experience on the Track

The Hybrid & EV Indoor Test Track is designed to highlight what makes electrified vehicles different and exciting to drive. Riders experience a variety of driving elements that showcase comfort, responsiveness, and performance, while professional drivers explain what’s happening along the way.

Please note: Age and height requirements apply for the Hybrid & EV Test Track experience.

Participating Manufacturers

The 2026 Hybrid & EV Test Track features vehicles from a range of manufacturers, each offering a different take on electrification.
Vehicles may include plug-in hybrid and fully electric models.
