Red Bull Racing’s Adrian Newey has been named the prestigious 2024 World Car Person of the Year by the World Car Awards jury panel. This esteemed award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the global automotive industry, and Adrian Newey’s impact is truly remarkable. The award will be presented to Newey at the New York Auto Show on March 27, where his legacy and contributions to automotive engineering will be celebrated.

As Chief Technical Officer of Red Bull Racing, Adrian Newey is the mastermind behind the RB19, an aerodynamic marvel that dominated the Formula One circuit in 2023. With 21 wins out of 22 races, the RB19 propelled Red Bull Racing to its sixth World Championship and secured Max Verstappen’s third title. Newey’s innovative designs have set new standards in the industry, influencing competitors to follow suit.

The Road to the World Car Awards is an annual journey that follows 100+ distinguished international automotive journalists from 29 countries, as they test-drive, and vote on, the eligible vehicles for the 2024 awards. The jurors’ road-test journey is captured virtually on World Car TV.
