Tuner Car Culture at the New York Auto Show
Custom builds, aftermarket, JDM, & drift cars
The 2026 New York International Auto Show is turning the spotlight on custom car culture, inviting visitors to experience a vibrant showcase of tuner builds, aftermarket innovation and enthusiast creativity.
Located on Level 1 of the Javits Center, this fan-favourite area brings together an exciting mix of vehicles that go far beyond factory design. These are personal builds—cars and trucks shaped by the vision, time and passion of their owners—resulting in truly unique, one-of-a-kind creations.
From lowriders and lifted trucks to drift cars, rally-inspired builds and high-performance street machines, the display offers something new around every corner. At the centre of it all is R2XPO Rides & Rigs, featuring a standout collection of custom vehicles selected by enthusiasts themselves.

Adding to the experience, actor and automotive enthusiast Sung Kang (Fast & Furious) made a special appearance during the first weekend of the Show in support of his film Drifter. The exhibit features a version of the Toyota Corolla AE86, “Lola,” seen in the film.
Beyond the vehicles, the space transforms into a full aftermarket marketplace where visitors can explore vendors offering everything from wheels, tires, and suspension upgrades to accessories, collectibles, and gear from their favourite brands. It’s part car show, part marketplace, and part community hub—all included with admission.
