Celebrating 125 Years of Influence: NYIAS Connects Automakers and Shoppers
The New York International Auto Show has released its 2025 Impact Report—and the results confirm the Show’s unmatched ability to connect brands with purchase-ready consumers. In fact, 81% of attendees said the Show influenced their next vehicle purchase.
“Celebrating 125 years of auto exhibitions in New York has positioned the New York Auto Show as the longest-running and largest annual marketing event the auto industry holds. As organizers of this iconic event, we constantly examine the effectiveness and value of holding one of the best-known automobile spectacles right in the heart of New York City,” said Mark Schienberg, NYIAS President and CEO.
Key findings from the research, conducted by Clarify Group:
- 67% of visitors said the NYIAS was the only automotive event they attended all year, spending an average of over 4 hours there.
- 50% of 24-month intenders added at least one brand to their consideration list after visiting.
- Attendees were 2.6× more likely than the general population to be in the market for a new vehicle.
- 56% plan to visit a dealership in the next 12 months.
- Media coverage of new products and other industry news at the auto show hit a record 35.5B audience reach.
The report also analyzes the Show’s reach beyond the convention center, including media coverage, special events, and industry outreach. For a full copy of the report, click here.
“The New York Auto Show continues to distinguish itself as a forum for auto industry leaders, policymakers, the business community, and others to come together and talk about how to seize the opportunities and navigate the challenges in the years ahead.”
