First Look: Kia EV6
Kia has unveiled the refreshed 2025 EV6, building upon its award-winning electric crossover with notable enhancements in design, performance, and technology.
Design and Exterior Updates
The 2025 EV6 features a sportier aesthetic, highlighted by Kia’s signature Star Map lighting integrated into new LED headlights and daytime running lights. Redesigned front and rear fascias contribute to a more dynamic appearance, complemented by a selection of new alloy wheel designs ranging from 19 to 21 inches.
Performance and Battery Enhancements
A significant upgrade is the introduction of a larger 84.0 kWh battery, replacing the previous 77.4 kWh pack. This enhancement is expected to extend the vehicle’s range, with the rear-wheel-drive configuration estimated to achieve up to 319 miles on a single charge.
The high-performance GT trim continues to impress, offering up to 641 horsepower and 568 lb.-ft. of torque in launch mode, delivering exhilarating acceleration and driving dynamics.
Charging and Technological Advancements
The EV6 now comes equipped with North American Charging Standard (NACS) compatibility, providing access to an extensive fast-charging network, including Tesla Superchargers. The charging port has been relocated to the left rear fender to facilitate easier access.
Inside, the EV6 boasts a refreshed interior with enhanced premium touches. Notably, it introduces a fingerprint authentication system, allowing registered drivers to start the vehicle without a key, adding a layer of convenience and security.
Availability
The 2025 Kia EV6 is expected to arrive in early 2025, with inventory anticipated to be limited. Prospective buyers are encouraged to stay in contact with local dealerships for availability updates.
